Working to keep essential wastewater services flowing
WPL is continuing to safely deliver its essential wastewater service for customers, in line with official health advice.
Having been identified by the government as key workers, WPL’s service engineers are focused on keeping customers’ treatment plants operating, ensuring wastewater from communities and businesses continues to be treated to high standards, while protecting the environment.
Managing director Gareth Jones said: “As a wastewater services provider, health and safety is always our absolute priority and customers can be assured we have taken all necessary steps to keep our treatment plants running safely and effectively during these uncertain times.
“We are carefully following all government guidelines and have put measures in place to keep our employees, customers and the communities we work in safe, including the closure of our office while office-based staff work from home.
“While monitoring and adapting to the unprecedented situation, our priority remains to protect and support each other, the wider community and the environment.”
