Due to seasonal demands on an existing sewage works at Rampton village Nottinghamshire, Severn Trent Water requested WPL offer a solution to assist meeting consent standards.

The WPL Clic-Clo 5 FBO Microcreen  tertiary polishing plant solution meets the highly variable peak flow and load. WPL allowed maximum in-flow capacity with total suspended solids @ 100mg/lt (95%ile) due to peak flow during the ‘sloughing season,’ when dead biomass is washed off the trickling filters.

About the tertiary WPL Clic-Clo Microscreen tertiary polishing plant

Designed to receive pumped or gravity flows, the unique design of the drum filter maximises the surface area of the filtration cloth to achieve high removal efficiency with extremely low operating costs. The cartridge based screen cloth can easily be fitted within minutes, removing the need for time-consuming cloth maintenance activities.

The WPL Clic-Clo Microscreen can handle flows up to 220/ls.
