Two HiPAF Midi’s have been specified for a new five acre service area development in Barton Mills, Suffolk. It’s estimated the two sewage treatment plants for off mains drainage will serve more than 1000 customers daily for the drive-thru McDonalds and a petrol filling station.

WPL has previously specified its HiPAF range for the world’s largest food chain, ensuring fast food fans continue to ‘Love it.’ The plant has also been previously installed at other motorway service stations such as Beaconsfield on the M40.

Dominic Hamblin states, “The WPL HiPAF is considered the best submerged aerated filter (SAF) on the market in terms of delivering a robust biological treatment process which is compact and treats influent to meet high stringent standards.’

The WPL HiPAF Midi packaged plant containing primary settlement, biological treatment (biozone) and final settlement modules will be treating the sewage and wastewater influent to meet a stringent discharge permit standard. The treated effluent can then be safely discharged to a water coarse, soak away or ditch.
